Everyone is eligible for the XVI International Biennial of Landscape Photography - Space Definition, except for the members of the organizational committee and jury members. Moreover, the entry may be rejected if the organizers find that it does not fulfil the requirements of the Biennial. All submitted works should be created as photographs, i.e. recorded on photographic emulsion and scanned to digital files or originally made with digital equipment. Each participant can send up to 4 works thematically linked to Landscape and Space or/and 4 video films. By entering the contest, the applicant declares that he or she is the author and sole holder of copyright for each work submitted. The organizers are not accountable for any possible misuses of copyright laws done by the participants. The applicants agree that the organizers use their works or parts of them, and have them published for free in media connected with the Biennial. Warning: Sending in the photographs and the application form means that the applicant accepts these rules and conditions.
Works which do not fullfil the requirements mentioned below will be disqualified.

Review of entries, jury deliberations and establishing nominees and photographs to be showcased at the exhibition. 18-20th October 2014
Announcement of winners via www.bwakielce.art.pl and www.zpaf-kielce.pl sites - 25th October 2014
Open day of the exhibition and formal presentation of awards - 7th November 2014

Only electronic data will be considered in the competition. Please do not send in original photographs printed on paper.

Send a CD to: Związek Polskich Artystów Fotografików Okręg Świętokrzyski, ul. Kapitulna 2, 25-011 Kielce, Poland – with a postscript SPACE DEFINITION. Together with the CD, the applicant should enclose the filled-in and signed application form and proof of payment.

After paying the entry fee via a chosen electronic payment system, you should fill in the electronic application form and upload your photos straight to our servers.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Each participant may send in up to 4:
- photos in .jpg format (.jpg, 300 dpi, RGB, the length of the shorter side of the picture should not be smaller than 2450 pixels, compression quality-high). Each file should not be bigger than 4MB.
- video films in: avi, mpg2, mp4, wmv, optional resolution, 25 frames/s, time of the film should not be more than 3 minutes - sent via CD or DVD
The files and CDs/DVDs should be named as follows:
Surname_first name_ title_01_ country, Surname_first name_ title_02_ country, etc.
PAYMENTS:
Applicants of XVI International Biennial of Landscape Photography are asked to pay an entry fee of 80 PLN or 20 EURO. Applications without the pre-paid entry fee will be disqualified.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
All participants that qualify for the post-competition exhibition will be given access to the exhibition’s e-catalogue and an e-certificate of participation to be downloaded from the Biennial’s website. Exhibition prints will be made at the expense of the organizer and remain the organizer’s property, subject to participants’ copyright. Moreover, the organizers will promote all qualified authors, together with the whole exhibition in printed and electronic media.
The organizers also expect that the exhibition will be shown internationally.
