XVI International Biennial of Landscape Photography SPACE DEFINITION refers to tradition of Kielce School of Landscape (Kielecka Szkoła Krajobrazu) and the previous editions of the Polish Biennial of Landscape, though it also takes into consideration all the sudden changes of the nowadays world. Therefore this Biennial broadens the range of works which may differ from the classical consideration of landscape and nature photography. And these areas are: urban, industrial, private and personal space.
Our aim is to integrate all the photographers and artists who in their works try to define this broad spectrum of space. We expect the works to be a result of an individual approach, choices and thoughts and look forward to confronting the above mentioned works during the exhibiton and the catalogue. The international dimension of the Biennial allows us to gather and showcase world view through different and individual perception of artists around the world.
In the area of mostly photographic character of Biennial we created also a separate category of video art for all of those who rather showcase the landscape in all of its forms via moving pictures.
Together lets create a panorama of interchanging landscapes of nature and culture that define the area of our modern reality in which we all live in.

PRIZES:
Grand Prix - 10,000 PLN (or its equivalent in Euro)
First Prize - 3000 PLN (or its equivalent in Euro)
Second Prize - 2,500 PLN (or its equivalent in Euro)
Third Prize - 2,000 PLN (or its equivalent in Euro)
VIDEO ART award - 3000 PLN (lor its equivalent in Euro)
Special Award - a year of study at Warsaw School of Photography. The winner may choose whichever academic year he finds suitable and chooses to attend. (The value of this award is 4,500 PLN.)
